In order to ensure safety for employees and improve work habits, Ernsts Foods has recently installed a Digital Network Security System. We run our operation 24 hours a day, therefore we consider this surveillance system an advantage in monitoring production for quality control and to improve productivity. As a food manufacturer, we have heightened our stance on increased measures of security, in order to manage any concerns about integrity of our product. The surveillance system also helps us handle issues about employee occupational safety: it gives us the evidence from captured images of areas where accidents happen, allowing us to find the explanations, address and eliminate them. 3-3-2006

Apart from being high in the essential nutrients, protein, carbohydrate, some vitamins and fibre and being highly nutritious, a number of extremely interesting chemicals have been found in oats. The most interesting substances in oats are the steroids (such as the male hormone testosterone). The sex drive of both men and women is related to the level of testosterone (the male hormone) circulating in the blood stream. Women also produce testosterone, but in much lower levels than men. However, this situation is complicated by the fact that testosterone is carried around the body by specific carrier proteins. Most testosterone is bound to the carrier called SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) and only about two percent is floating freely through your system. It is the free testosterone that is responsible for firing your libido. If you could free more testosterone you would have a higher sex drive. The way SHBG binds to testosterone is very specific - SHBG only binds with steroids. It recognizes the shape of the testosterone molecule and snaps it up. We have more than enough testosterone look-alikes floating around in oats to confuse the SHBG. When you take oats, you flood your blood stream with these testosterone look-alikes. To improve our sanitation management level, and lay a great foundation to assure the safety and sanitation of our export product, we have obtained Sanitary Registration of Export Food issued by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA)(the former State administration of Import and Export Commodity Inspection of P. R. China, the former State Administration of Entry & Exit Inspection And Quarantine of P. R. China) on 28th November 2005. 28-11-2005

Ernsts Foods is poised to buy about 10,000 tonne of Western Australian standard milling oats from Grain Pool Pty Ltd in 2006. Ernsts Foods might place additional orders depending on their stockpiles and production levels. Western Australia produces approximately 40% of Australia’s total grain production. 27-10-2005

Nine of Ernsts Foods employees were in the spotlight on Tuesday, April 12th, 2005 when the company recognized each of them for their many years of dedicated service to the company. Long service awards were presented to employees who had served with the company for 10 years. The 10 year award were given to GUO Heng-yue, ZENG Sheng-sheng, YANG Qiu-e, REN quan, CHEN Yuan-hui, CHI Zong-jun, ZHOU Zheng-xin, XIA Hui-hua and XU Ai-qing. 12-4-2005

Thanks to the great support it received from customers, Ernsts Foods has completed the building of a larger, more efficient new plant on 8th October 2004. The company new plant replaced the old plant while doubling capacity and incorporates an automation system that monitors and control operation. 8-10-2004

APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL
    1 1/2 cup water
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2/3 cup quick cooking oatmeal
    1 medium apple, peeled and grated
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 tablespoon raisins
Bring water and salt to boil in saucepan. Stir in oatmeal, apple, cinnamon and raisins. Reduce heat and cook 1 minutes until water is absorbed. Serve hot with sugar substitute to taste. 18-5-2004

On January 23rd 1997, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a final ruling in the federal register regarding the use of food labeling health claims based on the association between soluble fibre from whole oats and a reduced risk of coronary heart disease. The labeling claim has been approved for food products marketed in the U.S., based on thirty years of scientific evidence that the type of soluble fibre found in whole oat products (β-glucan soluble fibre) may lower blood cholesterol levels. 26-4-2004

Ernsts Foods donated 200,000 yuan (approximately US$2,500) worth of oatmeal to the blizzard-hit area in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the oatmeal was presented to a representative of the Red Cross Society in Shenzhen. Blizzards, which hit Inner Mongolia in late December 2000, have affected 1.6 million people and killed more than 220,000 head of livestock.17-2-2001
